Position overview: The Product Owner will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows. They will translate these requirements into functional specifications for technology teams and work closely with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure successful project delivery. The Product Owner will also identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Define a product backlog with product team support

  • Deliver prioritized product features, user stories, and tasks, together with development teams.

  • Write clear and concise epics and user stories with acceptance criteria that define the functionality to be developed.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, and other relevant parties to gather and refine requirements.

  • Regularly communicate progress, changes, and updates to stakeholders.

  • Validate that the delivered product increment meets the acceptance criteria and fulfills the business needs.

  • Lead backlog refinement, review, and planning.

  • Work with the team to plan releases and set the release goals based on business priorities and market needs.

  • Collaborate with the development team to create a realistic delivery schedule.

  • Clearly define and communicate product requirements to development teams, ensuring a shared understanding of objectives and expectations.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within scope.

  • Use data and analytics to track product performance, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the product and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Participate in a discovery phase and play an active role in finding market fit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).

  • Previous experience in IT

  • Experience in backlog grooming - user stories and tasks, Agile environment (3-5 years).

  • Previous experience with Agile ceremonies;

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.

  • Good technical skills and understanding.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in requirement-gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and software development lifecycle.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of relevant tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.

  • Fluent English
